Talksport, Alan Brazil, Jesus Christ...
...the lack of professionalism is staggering.
I started listening this morning and am staggered at Alan Brazils lack of professionalism and the stations acceptance. He obviously does not watch sport and has no ideas what he is talking about and even eats on air.
Poor, poor radio.

That's a double act I'd listen to.

If you listen to talk sport what are you expecting? Quality insight and humourous intelligent exchanges? That's what TMS is for

Re: Talksport, Alan Brazil, Jesus Christ...
I think he's coming towards the end of his contract there, at which time I believe he plans to walk away, (presumably before drinking himself to death).

I should think he would welcome getting sacked now as a potential opportunity to sue them for some more money for alleged unfair dissmissal.

Spotted he was unsackable long ago and threw any pretence of professionalism out the window at that point.

He's warming up for Cheltenham.

He consistently pulls in listeners and guests though, so replacing him isn't as easy as it really should be.

You know what you're getting with TS. Endless adverts for tools and vans, amid some amateur broadcasting and clumsy rabble rousing for premium phone-ins. But that's what goes down well. Most listeners don't want slick well-informed shows, they just enjoy foaming at the mouth while listening to Adrian Durham and the rest being contentious to bait callers.

Look what they've done to the Colin Murray slot now. Spent a fortune marketing Jim White as his replacement only to find his show and ratings are as much of a car crash as the awful trailers.

Basically, it's something to flick over to in the mornings if the Today programme gets a bit dour :)

Light pointless trash radio with money leading adverts all day long
but on only listing to radio 4 as my other station and having news24 on most or the time at home
listening to the sports bar from 10.p.m is much welcome to my brain.

Hawksbee and Jacobs is the only TS show worth listening to.

And Danny Kelly.

I take the piss out of it all, but secretly love the Clips of the Week podcast.

Not listened to it for about 3/4 years.

Not out of hate, purely as the radio in my car doesn't work.

Didn't particularly dislike any of them, though Collymore was a bit annoying and Goughie should have stuck to cricket, as his footie knowledge was shit and biased.

Has he said 'Big Sam's working his magic again' as Lineker said on MOTD on sat?

Never listen to the alcoholic jock these days, but I don't despise him as much as the other aforementioned.

Re: Talksport, Alan Brazil, Jesus Christ...
if you think his show is bad now you can't have been listening long, the era with Irani as co host was 100 times worse

ornchurch ammer 1:07 Mon Mar 6
Re: Talksport, Alan Brazil, Jesus Christ...
When Irani left they came up with the idea of a different co-presenter each day but now you get exactly the same show every day as he goes over the same things with each new presenter. Boring.

There is also too much recycling of the same presenter. For example he had the Romford Pele this morning but Parlour will also do shows with Durham and of a weekend. You get the same views over and over. Boring.

There must be other ex pros they can get to talk for a bit.
